What is the Energy Journey Game?
The Energy Journey Game is an interactive, life-size board game that challenges Arlington residents to consider the energy and financial impacts of their everyday choices.
How is the Energy Journey Game played?
Players start with an ‘œenergy wallet’ and move through a life-size game board. At each stop on the board, players are asked a question and then use their points to pay for the energy decisions they make, such as replacing a home’s heating system or deciding whether to buy a car or take transit. To guide decision-making in the real world, players are encouraged to visit the ‘œAsk the Expert’ area in the middle of the game board at any point during the game. At the finish, players turn in their wallets and their scores are tallied — higher point tallies indicate more energy efficient decision-making. The game is a fun way to learn about your every-day energy use and to compare energy knowledge to that of friends, neighbors, and other players, too.
Learn about solar installation and energy audits.’ Collect ‘˜give-aways’ that will help you save energy in your home.’ And enter a raffle to win one of three ‘œ15 Energy-Saving Products Under $15’ prize packs.
