Our 5th Annual Green Living Expo on Saturday, April 26th, has something for everyone, like these fabulous offerings from our arts and culture exhibitors:
- Amy Thierer Calligraphy and Arts‘ ‘“ offers a selection of stained glass panels using natural materials and calligraphic art work.
- Craft Indulgence ‘“ sells fair trade clothing & accessories made by local co-operatives and artisans of India showing different traditional techniques in a wide range of vibrant, colorful patterns ranging from Handbags, stoles, scarves, skirts, tops, Bed spreads, Quilts, Table linens etc. ‘ Their effort is to promote art of skilled artisans keeping the traditional essence mixed with flair of the modern world, while at the same time, empowering the artists with a sustainable livelihood.
- Elizabeth Tackovich‘ ‘“ creates recycled t-shirt crafts including bags pillows and purses. Money raised through the sale of her products will support her participation in the 2014 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
- Hillary Rednor‘ ‘“ creates one-of-a-kind earrings made from used, plastic gift cards.
- Just For Fun Soldered Pendants ‘“ sells beautiful pendants and ornaments that are reversible and unique.
- Marcella Kriebel Art and Illustration ‘“sells prints, greeting cards and her book, Comida Latina an Illustrated Cookbook. The collection encompasses themes that promote gardening, eating locally and healthily. All of the products are locally created and prints and cards and produced in Washington DC. Highlights include the much loved Mid Atlantic Blue Crab, and the ever growing Veggie Family series including Brassica, and Rosaceae.
- Natural Awakenings ‘“ provides resources for healthy and sustainable living through a monthly magazine that’s available throughout the metro area at organic grocery stores, yoga studios, medical offices, coffee shops, and public libraries. The magazine features businesses and organizations that support healthy and sustainable living with articles written by local and national experts.
- Recycled Bag Lady’ ‘“ crafts hand-crocheted bags made from reused shopping bags.
