Volunteer Leadership Training
March 19 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Learn how to become an EcoAction Arlington Volunteer Leader!
During this 2 hour hands-on training, you will build the skills needed to become leaders and stewards of our land, water, and community. This is a great opportunity for you to learn how to make an impact and support our efforts right here in Arlington! This training will equip you with the skills needed to lead events and initiatives on behalf of EcoAction Arlington, where you will learn more about our three important volunteer leadership roles:
- Service Project Leaders – learn how to run service projects: why we do them, types of cleanups, safety, procedures, equipment, scheduling, and more.
- Outreach Leaders – learn how to represent EcoAction Arlington at outreach events, schools, fairs; our mission and vision, FAQs about us, special presentations, membership recruiting, etc.
- Advocacy Leaders – learn how to represent EcoAction Arlington at County Board meetings, send letters to the Board, and engage in policy issues.
You are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle to this event, light refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Program Manager, Kara Simon at volunteer@ecoactionarlington.org. While donations are not required to attend this event, your donations secure our efforts to be leaders in climate action.
