E-CARE gives residents a chance to’ safely dispose of household hazardous materials and purchase compost bins. Residents may bring items such as paint, solvents, garden chemicals and items containing mercury. You can also recycle electronics, bikes, small metal items, shoes, clothing and much more!
And here’s a bright idea: Exchange your old CFL lightbulb for a new LED bulb (one per household) with AIRE (Arlington Initiative to Rethink Energy).
E-CARE is open to Arlington residents and County employees only. Commercial or business waste is not accepted.
For more information, including details about acceptable items, visit the E-CARE webpage or call 703-228-6832.
