- 11-12:30: Community Celebration at Arlington Central Library. Free. No registration required.
- 12-4:30: Visit green homes, gardens and community spaces throughout Arlington. $5 suggested donation. Register online or onsite at Central Library.
- 2:00 pm: Guided bike tour. Location tbd. Registration required. Register online.
The 21st annual Green Community Tour will showcase sustainable homes and gardens in Arlington. Features include energy efficient and water-saving technologies, solar energy, rain gardens, native plants, wildlife habitat and more. Visit the county’s website for more details and videos.

The simultaneous Green Community Celebration at Arlington Central Library will feature electric vehicles, exhibits and family-friendly fun!
The celebration and tour are sponsored by EcoAction Arlington, Virginia Cooperative Extension/Master Gardeners, Arlington Regional Master Naturalists, Arlington Public Libraries, Arlington County’s Office of Sustainability and Environmental Management.
Suggested donation $5. Registration for the self-guided tour is available online and onsite at Arlington Central library. Register online for the bike tour.
If you register in advance a tour map with site addresses and descriptions will be emailed to you before the event date.
Getting There
The Green Home & Garden Tour is a self-guided tour of green homes and gardens across Arlington. You may start at any point on the tour and visit as many or as few sites as you desire. Maps will be available in hard-copy at the Arlington Central Libary between 11am-12: 30 pm or register to receive a pdf map of the tour. Maps will be sent out closer to the event date.

The Parking Garage at Central Library offers free two-hour parking for Library patrons (entrance on N. Quincy Street). We encourage you to go car-free to the event if you are able. There are many transportation options to get there!
