Get ideas and inspiration to help build a greener community in Arlington

- A FREE community celebration at Shirlington Library with exhibits focused on sustainability and family-friendly fun (no registration required)
The 20th annual Green Community Tour will showcase green homes, green renovations, and watershed-friendly gardens in Arlington. Features include energy efficient technologies, solar energy, water-saving technologies, rain gardens, native plants, wildlife habitat and more.
Start at Shirlington Library’s plaza to see demonstrations and displays of the possibilities, then discover the homes and community spaces in the Green Home and Garden Tour to see those possibilities in action.
In the case of inclement weather, the community event will take place in the Campbell Room inside Shirlington Library.
We ask, if you are able, to donate $5 per person to cover incidental costs of this event. The tour booklet with addresses and descriptions of homes will be emailed to registrants prior to the event to the email provided at registration. Registration is also available onsite at Shirlington Library from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Registration is not required for the Celebration at Shirlington Library.
